This website describes the activities of the serials unit in the San Diego State University Library. I used XML and jQuery to list some data. I also used an open-source program called viewshare to plot data elements on a map.
Currently in version 1.0.6, this app utilizes current library assets to allow for a fun experience for users of iOS devices.
For this I had to export data from the library’s Integrated Library System (Sierra) into a MySQL database. Then I created an interface for users to enter data using PHP, Ajax and jQuery. This display uses the Datatables jQuery Plugin. Here is a zip file with the code:
For these pages I load COUNTER Reports into a Microsoft Access database. Then I join the journals by ISSN. Finally, all of these pages point to HTML tables that utilize the datatables jquery plugin.
